Commodity Hedging Theory : Teori Hedging Komoditas

The theory of hedging futures in opposite products is officially divided into three main theories.

1. Traditional theory
The traditional emphasis in harnessing the potential of the futures market is risk aversion. The hedges will take positions in futures markets that are equal in size but opposite in money markets. The traditional theory covers only the whole scope. This traditional theory has been widely criticized for its erroneous assumption that futures prices rise or fall as much as spot prices rise or fall.

2. Maximize your income from work
The Work (1953, 1962) is a new perspective for the future. Be skeptical of the idea that pure hedges work to minimize risk. Instead, the paper believes that the hedges are behaving like speculators who decide to live up to their expectations of future price reports. In this case, traders are hedging more selectively than expected on a variable basis.

3. Portfolio theory
Portfolio theory builds on traditional labor theory. More theorists were Johnson (1960); Stein (1961); many other theorists in the portfolio.

Embedded labor earnings maximization has traditionally avoided risk. At the end of the day, Johnson and Stein managed to find a way to get rid of the obsolete products and the closed and open state.
Futures Portfolios are included in the Active Futures Portfolio and, depending on the potential trader, will cancel the underlying monetary instrument. Johnson and Stein decided to invest in the futures market for the same reason that investors enter any market, in particular, to achieve the highest return for a given level. The number of futures contracts written in the portfolio will vary depending on when the return of the portfolio should be maximized or the deviation or risk of the return of the portfolio should be minimised.
